American East Coast University is a not for profit organization promoted by American Education Council, LLC USA and Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Guinea Bissau. The University programs are offered to both local and international students. The revenues raised from international operations are used by the MOHE to fund higher education initiatives in Guinea Bissau.

American East Coast University (AECU) is the distance learning division of American Education Council, LLC, USA. The university is managed by the American Education Council, LLC, which is legally registered and licensed by the State of Delaware and also by the registrar of companies, United States of America.

All the activities of American Education Council, LLC USA are in full compliance with the laws of Delaware State legislation under section 2.1, Article II. The by laws of the Council states that the " American Education Council, LLC USA accredits, collaborates with academic bodies, designs education programs, manage Universities, colleges and institutes around the world to provide quality American education aimed at Human Resource development"

American Education Council, LLC, USA is a major fund raiser for AECU and manages its day-to-day operations world wide. The Ministry of Higher Education with permission from Ministry of Foreign Affairs has authorized consulates of Guinea Bissau to use its resources for promoting and marketing the programs offered by the AECU.

AECU was accredited by the accrediting council of Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Guinea Bissau and also by a team of experts from the ministry who were formerly working for United Nations. The Ministry of Higher education has recommended AECU to be listed in the United Nations list of recognized universities. AECU is the only African-American university that has gained accreditation to offer programs in the Middle-east, Africa, Asia and EU. We do not offer programs in the US or Canada.

The Programs offered by AECU are cost effective, fast track and easy to learn with high degree of practical relevance to the job market demands. The degrees & Diplomas issued from AECU are stamped by the MOHE & Consulates for Visa purposes.

AECU also offers US Attestations on their degrees subject to approval from relevant authorities. AECU degrees have been accepted by major multinational companies in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Sudan and have been accepted for immigration purposes also.
