American East Coast University (AECU) was established as a cost effective alternative to provide American Education to the African and Middle east region countries. It started as a college that offered courses by correspondence mode in four countries of Africa namely Guinea Bissau, Sudan, Somalia and Gambia.
AECU network of study centers was expanded with approval from the governmental agencies to start providing Distance Learning through online and correspondence modes. As of now, the University has centers in Dubai & Abu Dhabi (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Srilanka, India besides Sudan, Somalia, Guinea Bissau, Gambia and every year there are new centers being added to the list. AECU also maintains an office of attestation in the US in New York for embassy related stamping purposes.
American East Coast University (AECU) got the Ministry of Higher Education accreditation and license to offer Distance learning (Online & Correspondence) university programs. The governmental approval allows the University to offer its programs to the international student community. The university is funded partly by American Education Council, LLC, USA as well as supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Guinea Bissau.
American East Coast University is a not for profit organization aimed at funding and sponsoring under privileged students to get world class education at very affordable costs. AECU also offers its programs to international students at subsidized fees and uses it to fund its charity work. A part of AECU revenues are used to sponsor higher education initiatives in Guinea Bissau.
